Steady progress

Groundwork started this week on connecting new electricity and water supplies to the windmill. This will require trenches to be dug across the children’s playground, so for obvious safety reasons it is important for them to be filled in as they go.

The weatherboarding on the cap is being replaced, as the old timber was too far gone to be repaired. The new weatherboarding will be made of European larch, which is hard and resistant to rot.

Inside, Stonewest have pretty much finished the repairs to the interior brickwork and will be starting on the exterior next.
